Your-Potential: Develop It
Health, sexuality, money and human relations are all interconnected. One interact on another. You see, in this universe everything is interrelated. By developing your gifts and talents, you will positively influence all other parts of your life. What we are saying here is this: By developing your gifts and talents, it is possible to have a better overall health, flourishing sexuality, good financial situation and marvelous human relations. Keep reading the whole contain, and benefit from this amazing truth. With your document My Potential, underline or highlight all your skills, talents and gifts. In this section, you will learn to amplify and make them useful. My Potential is the document on which you have carefully written: •your talents and gifts (those which you possess or wish to possess) •your aptitudes (those which you have or want) •your "strengths" •your "flaws" Your-potential: talent or ability? What we say here, will also be interesting for educators; very interesting. By educators we mean: parents, teachers, the government, public and private authorities, etc. As we have stated in the section: My Potential, every human being comes in this world with skills, talents and gifts. Some skills, talents and gifts are unknown. You will learn to discover and use them. Others potentials are dormant. You will learn to wake them up and turn them into useful tools for your success. Please, read this section very carefully. What is Your-potential The margin of definition between talent and ability is thin and complex. To make it simple, sometimes we will talk about gift (talent) or aptitude inclusively. In so doing, we keep in mind that "depending of cultures, gift and talent refers to a natural disposition (someone is born with it); and the term aptitude is closer to a cultural disposition (someone acquires it in society)." These are two examples to illustrate our point: Those who believe in the existence of one God (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, etc.) say that this God can give gifts or talents to his creatures. To that end, Christians evoke the parable of the talents. Bible (Matthew 25: 14 to 30). If I have understood this parable, everyone has the duty to fructify his talents, for his happiness and the happiness of his fellow-creatures. The Bible says that God gives good gifts to those who ask Him. What is your-potential? Other religions believe in reincarnation (Indouisme, Buddhism, etc.). They believe that a gift (talent) or aptitude is the result of a learning acquired in a previous life, the result of a virtuous life lived during a previous life. In other words, a creature could be born with a talent or a skill which is the reward for his good behavior in his previous life. This tender thought makes me think. Let’s think... We will return in more detail in the section Economy, politics, religion (spirituality). In the meantime, let's say that our goal is not to judge or promote a religion. In addressing this section, we want to show how a good understanding of religions may open the doors to success and happiness. For the etymology of the word religion comes from the Latin word religare which means connected. Therefore, being a religious person means: to be connected to fellow-creatures; with all positive or negative consequences that this connection entails. Your-potential: your gifts, talent and abilities One way or another, the most important is to know that everyone is born with certain gifts (talents) and aptitude. It is possible and necessary to learn to discern and cultivate your real talents and aptitudes. In other words: to assert your true capabilities, those sleepy or sleeping capabilities. What is your-potential? It is in your interest to know it. It is your duty to discover, wake and develop them in order to succeed and be happy in your life. "It is possible and advisable to create other talents and aptitudes." In the section: * Learn how to create other potentials, we'll show you how.
Simply put, we take an example. Mine. When I was a teen, I learned drawing, karate and music. In all modesty, at that time I excelled in these three domains; I was always congratulated by my teachers. My father, who has a presentiment about my aptitude for drawing, gave me a photograph of a raven to draw. Very impressed by my work, he took a decision; I got registered in a painting course. For karate, my teacher "master I-Tree" was amazed by my skills. He asked to my parents the permission to go with me in Vietnam, to make me become a champion. But Vietnam was emerging from a war and I was just a teenager... Talking about music, when I was playing or singing, my audience was always moved; and me too. :) But alas! A follow up was not made for these three aptitudes. It is a pity. But I do not reproach anything to anybody, even not to myself. Today, as an adult, I comfort myself by thinking that: maybe it was not my destiny. Today, I practice the art of writing. Because I remember the day when my essay (about the importance of money) was read in other classes, as an example, by my French teacher. I was 18 years old. Writing... Who knows? As an inner voice seems to tell me: "Go ahead." I conclude that perhaps writing is my way, my gift. One thing is certain: when I write, in French :), I am always very impressed by my natural aptitude; the way I juggle with words and play leapfrog with expressions. I expect to have a feed back from you about that. Perhaps this little story will inspire some of you. This is our wish; our vow. By inspire we mean: to observe and listen very well, in order to discover talents and skills of your entourage; but also your own talents and abilities, in order to fructify them. Your-potential: discovering gifts, talents or abilities Personally, I dream of a school which will be specialized in the discovery and development of natural aptitudes. Let’s open wide our eyes and ears, to see and listen what our entourage and our own person is telling us. It is sure that: if we want to detect potentials, we must be attentive; very attentive. It all depends on the intensity with which a talent wants to express itself. Some gifts are obvious, they manifest themselves easily. Others gifts are quiet and shy, it is necessary to go and discover them. But others talents are asleep, we must wake them up. When a talent, ability or gift is identified, it has to be encouraged and developed. It has to be encouraged and developed with love, patience and determination. The point is to develop your-potential, to fructify them; in order to improve your life, to be successful and live happily.
