Success In Your Profession

It is true that an occupation helps earn money. But a profession should also help you develop your potential; help you develop your body, soul, mind (mental, intelligence), emotions, sexuality, finances; help you harmonize your interpersonal relationships; help you understand and apply the triad: economy-politics-religion (spirituality) to your advantage.

In fact, your job should help you realize yourself as a human being. This is how your profession becomes a vocation. Here is where this thought makes sense: "Work to live, not live to work." Blessed those who find or create such a vocation! Because he / she can say: "I have succeeded in my profession."

One condition to succeed in your occupation, is to match your profession with your personality. Every human being is unique. Even real twins show physical and psychological differences. In this sense, they are unique. But if your occupation does not match your personality, it is always possible to change your profession or adapt your personality to your occupation. Changing a profession can be useful.

But let’s repeat this: for some reasons, many people go from one job to another. Regarding each new job they find, these people say something like this: "I do not like this work. It is a work of slaves. All bosses are crocodiles; they take all the money and leave the crumbs to us. And I do not like my coworkers, they worth nothing and always get on my nerves." So, these people move from one job to another in search of the ideal job.

It is true, someone should always improve its condition; by changing his work if necessary. However, when someone changes his job too much, it is good to stop a moment; and find where the problem is. Is the problem in the job he drops or in himself?

In these cases it may be a social inadaptation. The problem may not be the occupation but the person. But anyone who applies all principles that we suggest on this site, will adapt more easily to its entourage and his job. Adapting a personality does not means to corrupt or deny a personality. It means: to affirm a personality in a specific context. This is an easy task for those who implement the principles of our Institute.

For several reasons, some people often find themselves trapped in a profession. The choice of their occupation was made by someone or something else (parents, educators, friends, unwise ambition, arrogant pride, imitation, etc.)

"Their choice" ignored the inclinations and abilities of these people. The choice may have been made by the person concerned, but that person has not taken time to get know itself.

We must honestly examine ourselves to identify our tastes, strengths, weakness, qualities, flaws, gifts, talents, abilities, possibilities, limitations, etc. A good occupation should help us deploy our personality, with our gifts and our talents. This is how it will be possible to succeed in a profession, in the noblest sense of the term.

To succeed in your occupation, you must love your profession with joy. Because when you love your profession, you master your occupation. This mastery leads you to the top of your profession. By doing better than your colleagues and bosses, you become the ultimate reference: the «expert en la matière.»

This is how you make many useful contacts. Your sympathy of heart attracts helpful people, good willing people, people ready to assist you at any time; at any cost.

You will then bridge their expectations; bridge them above the common measure! You will show them that you're up to the task. You must impose yourself with your competence; because in so doing, you carve in their minds the image of a capable and confident being. And this image increase their capability and also give them confidence.

To be competent is good. But to affirm your competence with your thoughts, actions and words is better. To affirm yourself honestly, strengthen your authority and your success. That is to say: your happiness.

The truth is that many people have a job that matches their internal development, they have an occupation which reflect the maturity of their personality; the nobility of their soul. In other words, many people have the occupation they deserve:

"Outside as inside."
