As a result of these donations, I have always felt deep joy and happiness; as a miracle. I have also received money or something else; as a miracle. I have received the same amount or the same thing I had given to someone else. I must say that sometime I have received more in return. These experiences, which I keep in the bottom of my heart, have always moved me and made me think. But these experiences and many others have made me realize the truth of this Law; a Law almost unknown to many people, but nevertheless of a stunning efficiency. Making-money: helping hands I have also understood this: "The more we help, the better we are helped." But here as elsewhere: "We reap what we sow." "To give generously opens the doors of wealth." Making-money and Selfishness Selfishness is a vice. A selfish heart is hard-hearted. A selfish being is dry and insensitive to the needs of the human community. He loves himself and nurtures his Ego. Such a being is just focused to himself. He closes his door to his fellow-creatures and prefers to keep everything for himself. That person entrenches and barricades himself. Insensitive to the meaning and scope of sharing, he doesn’t understand this other variant of the Law: "When you do good to others, you also do good to yourself." How could he understand this true? Since being selfish is generally being narrow-minded. A selfish person lacks of true love. Selfishness may generate mental illness, physical and psychosomatic problems such as ulcers, neuroses, psychoses, sexual impotence, frigidity, and so on. A selfish individual may be a harmful and dangerous individual; dangerous to the society, but also dangerous to itself. Selfishness is weakness. "Selfishness closes the doors of wealth." Making-money and Altruism For us, we want to cultivate altruism and reject selfishness. The Institute of Human Cultivation teaches the reader to cultivate altruism. Altruism opens the doors of health and wealth. Abnegation and selflessness are also virtues. Caring and friendship are also signs of good mental health. These signs of goodwill are signs of maturity of mind. Fraternal altruism awakens the living strengths of our soul, keeps us in good health, improves our human relations and propels us towards many victories. Altruism is strength.
